Samosas are little crispy delights that come straight from Indian kitchens. They are often filled with vegetables or meats and are perfect for an appetizer or a snack. In this recipe, we will learn how to make quick beef samosas, a delicious and easy option that will please your guests and family.

These samosas are not only tasty but also very simple to prepare. By using brick pastry, you'll save valuable time while still offering a taste and texture reminiscent of traditional recipes. Perfect for friends' gatherings or family meals, these samosas will add a touch of exotic flair to your table.

Ingredients

For 4 people:

  • 300 g of ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of curry powder
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • 4 sheets of brick pastry
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, heat a little oil over medium heat and add the chopped onion. Sauté until it becomes translucent.
  2. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute to release the aromas.
  3. Incorporate the ground beef into the skillet and cook until it is nicely browned.
  4. Add the cumin, curry, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let cook for another 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  5. On a sheet of brick pastry, place a spoonful of the beef mixture and fold it into a triangle, sealing the filling well. Repeat the process for the other sheets.
  6. Heat the oil in a deep skillet or fryer. Once hot, gently immerse the samosas and fry until they are golden and crispy.
  7. Remove the samosas and place them on paper towels to absorb excess oil. Serve hot with a sauce of your choice.

Chef's Tips

For an even tastier touch, you can add peas or diced potatoes to the filling. Also, consider serving your samosas with a mint sauce or chutney, which will bring a refreshing contrast.

Storage

Samosas can be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 2 days. You can also freeze them before cooking. To reheat, place them in the oven at 180°C for 10-15 minutes to regain their crispiness.
